About Sue
Sue has a passion for helping people of all sizes, shapes, and ages improve their health through awareness, education and personal growth. Her interest in nutrition started as an interest in food! While attending Hood College she began thinking and learning more about the food-health connection and changed her major from Medical Technology to Dietetics.
Today, Sue has 27 years experience as a registered dietitian working in hospitals, consulting for nursing homes, a private school and health club, speaking to professional groups, worksite wellness programs and the general public. As a mother of two athletic sons, her growing interest in exercise and sports nutrition led her to become a certified personal trainer through the National Council on Strength and Fitness. Currently she is Director of Food Service at the Middletown Home and maintains a private practice.
Sue is a member of the American Dietetic Association, Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutrition, Dietetics in Health Care Communities, and Management in Food and Nutrition Systems practice groups.
In her spare time, Sue loves to create scrapbooks, cook, read, relax, bike and walk around Sanibel Island. She especially loves spending time with family and friends.
